One day I was on a call with Angel A, my co-producer and casually mentioned I would like to do a Best of FOL. Well, that was met with quite a bit of enthusiasm, and seemed like a great idea.
Several weeks passed, and on another call, I said, “I don’t really know what I want to create next.” And Angel A said, ‘Oh, I know!’. And I was a little surprised about it because we only just started working together.
And that’s when she brought up The Best of FOL. And to compile it into a series of volumes.
But at the time, I wasn’t particularly feeling inspired and once she began describing the project, and how we would pull it together, I was a little overwhelmed. Yet, the next thing I know, I said… Ok!
But it really wasn’t nearly as challenging an effort as I thought it would be.
She did all the leg work. She had already been researching and compiling parts of what would ultimately become Volume 1, primarily based on her own inspiration.
My part was to lay it out on a video timeline, find and mix music, and leave the artwork to her. So, while I have been receiving kind words of appreciation all along, I know if it weren’t for Angel A, this wouldn’t have ever been done in the first place.
